I welded this metal frame (just because I can <grin>) from 1 1/4" angle iron, 3/4" angle iron, and 3/4" X 1/8" thick flat bar stock. Some 'L' brackets fastened to a wood frame or plywood base, or other things you come up with on your own could be used to make a suitable frame.
