The head castings (Fred and Little ‘E’) are original sculpted pieces by Michael Brose
(owner of Puppets and Props) and have full copyright protection.* The original intended
purpose of these castings is to assist people to build a figure for their own use. It is
unlawful to reproduce or make copies of these castings, for your own use or to sell to
others (i.e., make molds from the copyrighted head casting and then make your own
castings or make copies of these head castings by any other means). Any such molds, cast
copies, or copies made by other means, would be considered copyright infringement.
Making figures to sell: As stated above, the primary purpose of these castings is to assist
people to build a figure for their own use, not to make figures to sell. We have in the past authorized
a few figure builders to purchase multiple castings from us and create finished figures to
resell. These builders had our express permission to use the castings in this fashion. There is currently only one individual that has permission to do this. We do not plan on authorizing any additional builders at this time.
All other purchasers of our head castings are granted permission to build figures from
castings purchased from us, for their own use. Customers can certainly purchase more than
one casting from us, also for their own use. It is not however, our intention to sell a casting
or mulitple castings with the express purpose of making figures to sell. If you wish to make figures to sell, we respectfully recommend sculpting your own original face(s) from scratch, and then make your own molds and castings.
*Federal Law provides Severe Civil and Criminal Penalties for the unauthorized reproduction or
distribution of copyrighted items. Copyright infringement is investigated by the FBI and may constitute a
felony with a maximum penalty of up to five years in prison or $250,000 fine.
