'Figure Making Can Be Fun' is a short series of articles designed to help those interested in making professional style ventriloquist figures or other cast puppets. Most who have been bitten by the puppet making bug have been bit hard, and never seem to recover. I am certainly one of those!

   Sculpting, molding and casting a head can be one of the hardest parts of making a figure. This series of articles show one approach that many have found helpful in getting them started. Although the articles are aimed specifically at making a head for a ventriloquist figure, the instructions work equally well for puppet heads of many kinds.
