'Otis' made for customer Tony Silveus

Tony Silveus says... Mike, Otis (O. G. Hargrove figure) arrived this afternoon. I was at a meeting when he was delivered and my wife was going to open him up to surprise me, but she wasn't sure, so didn't. I'm glad because I didn't want her to see him until I've had a chance to get used to his controls (he is my first hard figure). I've got a special introduction of him to her worked out but I need a little practice first. She will be real surprised at what I have worked out. It will be well worth a couple days wait! He looks great, even better than I had expected!

Follow up: Tony says.... The introduction to my wife went great! I had him sing Hey, hey good lookin' by Hank Williams, that was the first song she learned as a little girl and always been her favorite! She loved it!

Thanks Mike,

Tony

Slightly customized figure for customer Dr. Don Wilkins

Dr. Don Wilkins says.... "I'm sorry to be so long getting back to you with these pictures, and even more so since the quality isn't very good. We took them on the run during our granddaughter's birthday party. Feel free to use any of them or not. If you like, I could take some better pictures with myself and the figure alone. Anyway, hope you are doing well. The figure ("Harry") was a big hit at the party. I find that with little kids, playing "Simon says" works well (the adults enjoy watching it too), and it gives me a chance to show off the extra mechanics.

Mike's work is beautiful. There's something special about the design of the face, which is what led me to choose his work over others. It's a face that people of all ages can relate to, like a 21st-century Jerry Mahoney, winsome and natural. And the wig seems like real hair (maybe it is, I can't tell!). The controls are excellent, and there are moments when even I have the eerie feeling I'm looking at a real, living person. Thanks, Mike!"

Slightly customized figure for customer Larry Bailey

Customer Larry Bailey and I talked for some time so he could get exactly what he wanted in this slightly customized version of an O.G. Hargrove figure. This figure's name is now Max Mach, who is a retired airline pilot! Larry requested white hair, matching handlebar mustache, up/down eyebrows, and individual winkers.

Larry Bailey says.... "I received Max today and am really pleased with him. As soon as I feel confident enough to do a short video routine, I will be glad to forward it to you. Also, please feel free to use Max (or Max AND me) any way you choose on your web site, or wherever else you want. We will both be proud to represent you any way we can! Thanks again Mike, great job!"

"I appreciate the info on the operation of the controls and appreciate the advice on "shaking hands". My vent course mentions the same thing about people being careless with my figure. When I get good at it, we can discuss the addition of a pal for Max. I already have in mind a younger "co-pilot" type named, Reginald Half Fast. Anyway, I am getting WAAAAY ahead of things here, I need to get reasonably good with Max first!"

"Again, anyway you wish to present Max on your web site is fine. I will provide you with some pix as soon as I get his "uniform" all set up."

Thanks Mike,

Larry

Aussie figure Aussie figure
Slightly customized 'Fred' Figure
For customer Billy James - Australia

Performer Billy James says.... "I was absolutely floored by the brilliance of this figure. I know you said he was nice, but I had no idea! He really is a wonderful work of art. Both my family and I instantly fell in love with the little guy! ......he is worth every single cent I have spent and a LOT more besides, in fact for me he is priceless!"

"I searched for so long for a figure and I contacted a lot of figure makers and weighed up all of the facts and such, but none of the figures I looked at compare to him, he is perfect! He has just the 'look' that I was hoping for."

"......the blinkers', they are absolutely brilliant! A lot of the figures I have seen have blinkers that don't seem to close all the way, or blinkers that are partly down when the eye is open (makes the figure look slightly drunk ). But these blinkers are the best I have seen, I don't know how you did it, but it must have been a lot of extremely intricate work, I can't rave enough about them."

"The mechanics are all super smooth and as quiet as a particularly introverted mouse. The paint work really is exquisite. Mike has put so much effort into the painting of this figure and it really makes him look (like) a million bucks. I could honestly write a chapter about each of the attributes of this figure, he is just fantastic! You have a VERY satisfied customer here Mike, thanks a million."

For customer Paula Platner - Oklahoma

Paula Platner says.... "Dear Mike, Such a success!! (Harley) came on Christmas Eve. I undraped him and Rob (Paula's husband) was so completely stunned.... he just sat there and said nothing.... it was a total surprise. After he composed himself... he picked him right up and started in creating a personality for his new friend. It has been so much fun. We both love Harley. He loves us, too. Everyone who has seen him is very impressed and always notice his manicured, perfect hands. You do remarkable detail work, Mike. We are beyond pleased. Do not hesitate to give out our e-mail as a reference for you. You are a gifted artist. Thank you so much for your help in achieving such a wonderful surprise."
